What is Going On?

I’m out of town, have run out of ‘future posts’, and have a bunch of meaty things I would love to post about. HOWEVER, my mind needs time, space, clarity, and focus to achieve that. Instead, you will be getting a random post about plans I have in the works, posts I’ll write in the future and a couple other fun things you may want to participate in around the web.

Plans. Yes, plans. I plan on starting a new page on this blog soon. This one will feature design projects I have worked on over the last year. A portfolio of *sorts*. You have to understand what a big step this is for me. I have always been better at directing the creative than implementing it myself. Having been a mom and *retired* for a few years now I have actually had to opportunity to start playing with design myself and I love it. I am now working with Girly Blog Designz and plan to be available for other work as well. (Just hit me up!)

As you know… I have some issues in life that I am passionate about. As SOME of you know, I also have a history with t-shirt design. I love knit wear. My life screams TEE-SHIRT, JEANS, and FLIP FLOPS please! I will be adding shirts that reflect both my style and passions to a store on my site. You may buy none, or all, but they will be available and Lord knows, they won’t be made in China ;)

I will be launching a new site. Yes, a new one. This will be a blog journaling my exploration into China’s human rights abuses. There will be interviews from experts, un-censored news, links to relevant research, opportunities to join me in spreading awareness, and what ever else I learn I need to add along my journey. I can’t say exactly where this will go and how quick I’ll get there… but I know God put this desire in me for a reason.

There have been talks with a certain wonderful blogger about another site— but those details are under wrap right now. More to come.

I plan to soon publish my first interview with an artist. I discovered her work in Savannah, purchased some print versions (though I would have loved and original!) And contacted her. I am excited to share her with you soon.

I plan to interview more often. Look for interviews from music artists, fashion designers, authors and random average joe’s depending on what I’m finding interesting at the moment.

Right now, an interesting project is being launched by Jordan over at Mama Blogga. Make sure to check it out.

Opinion Mom has a group writing project I plan to participate in as well.

On clean up duty… I would love to get my category tags cleaned up and refined, and SOME DAY I want to start at my first post and move forward getting my oldest posts categorized. Realistically, that may never happen.

Of course, all this internet stuff adapts around my real life. My life lived in the material world that is. Fortunately, no one says that these things have to be done overnight, next week or even this year for that matter. When I get to them I will and I’ll enjoy every minute of it.

Au Revoir.

    Zabs,

With the Olympics coming up, your activism against China can gather great momentum.

On radio the other day, the host of a station I listen to was live in Beijing and the the topic of media censorship regarding China’s human rights came up.

The Chinese official promised “all journalists will have freedom to report on anything about the Beijing Games”.

Yeah what about the rest of the country? Media censorship has already been raised in China with CNN having it’s bottom spanked by the Chinese!

The above radio station is a talk back station and the host was fielding calls from Melbourne, Australia regarding our upcoming federal elections. A debate began about the hosts views and the callers views regarding politics and the host needed to explain to the Chinese onlookers that they were discussing Australian politics - not Chinese!

Go ahead with your plans for a China Blog Zabs! I think it’s warranted big time. I will be sure to feed you anything I find on this sordid reality.
