BEEN?

Seriously. I can’t find it in me to blog. Even on my review site. I’m also not taking any new design work at the moment. What happened?

Life.

Seems with being a SAHM (stay at home mom) that dabbles in WAHM (work at home mom) status means life takes priority and sometimes kick the WAHM out.

I have had a resurgence (for a week, hopefully we are done now) of pregnancy sickness. Throwing up all the precious food that was to provide me with energy rendered me a bump on the couch and not much more.

In other news we have been getting our house ready to sell (or attempting to). WHAT? Yeah it’s true. I think I have a bizarre nesting instinct to move while pregnant or right after I have had a baby. We absolutely love our house… but the size is overwhelming to me at times and we both really like the idea of downsizing right now. Yes, we are up-sizing our family and want to downsize our house. But truthfully, I never had a house this big growing up and I did just fine! We figure once we get it on the market it is in God’s hands. If he wants us to stay we won’t sell it. If he thinks downsizing is a good idea we will.

We also found a smaller house we really love, but that too is not in our hands as we are not going to buy another house unless we sell this one. Who knows what the future has in store? But I do know selling is a lot of work. Lots of cleaning and scattering out of the house for showings. Am I crazy? Maybe? Yeah, probably.

With these things, blogging just is not even on the radar. But I do hope to post some reviews next week as I have been developing a stack of things to try out and let the world know what I think of them. Until next time….

moving with a newborn…been there, done that. we moved two weeks after the girls were born. fortunately we had great family and friends to help.

From one SAHM/WAHM to another I totally get it! Although my kids are old enough to not need quite so much supervision…so, look forward to that.

Downsizing you life is a good thing. Cut down on the things that take time and quality away from your life, leave more time/energy for the rest!

I am so sorry you have been sick. Seriously, that is the absolute worst!

Good luck with your sale. It is nice not to have to worry about what happens, but to know that the future is in His very capable hands.

Yeah, and like Sunflower Desert you aren’t alone in the blogging category. My family blog hasn’t seen much action from me lately.

First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS, E.! I haven’t stopped over to your site in ages, and I apologize for that, but what a surprise and a blessing you are pregnant again! Very best wishes for an uncomplicated, healthy delivery.

I have been in a huge funk for the last two months and inundated with domestic/business duties to boot… just have had very little to write about that seemed important enough to override my other pressing issues.

But I’m wandering around visiting those I have so enjoyed and missed over the last few weeks. Perhaps that is a sign I am about to emerge from this grey period.

Something about life and good weather, it always gets the best of us blogging moms!
I am sorry to hear you are sick again. I hope you and the baby and the boys are doing well. Congrats on having a girl this time! Shopping for girl clothes is soooo much fun!!
Best of luck in selling your house. I am totally understanding you with trusting God in the sell/buy department. We will be praying for you and your family.
I hope you are better soon and able to have enough energy to enjoy this great weather with your family!
