My bags are loaded.

I wish I was talking about shopping bags. Unfortunately the loaded sachels are under my eyes though. Jeff took his first business trip since Lukas entered life outside the womb. Sweet Meridith stayed over night with me. Our day started by meeting her for lunch at Baja Fresh. Then we ventured to the Mall so I could purchase a piece of art I have wanted for over my fireplace. As it goes with children, Owen was bored fast, and that trip didn’t go to long. We came home and I made a Dill Salmon Recipe from Real Simple, Which was actually quite simple and very good. Things got crazy while cooking as usual though. Owen decided it was tantrum time, and due to my poor timing Lukas need breastfed at the same time the Salmon needed to be taken out of the oven. So yes, I was feeding him walking around the kitchen, pulling off the skin from our salmon with one hand (boy don’t I feel talented!), finishing asparagus off with kosher salt and basalmic vinaigrette…. and finishing our plates. As we sat down to eat Lukas as usual felt it was an important time to be held… so I didn’t really eat much, and by the time I could didn’t want anymore. Exhausted I put Owie to bed at 7:30. Our friends John and Erin came over and watched 24. It came time for bed and Lukas pretty much woke up for the night. To his credit he was in SO MUCH PAIN! Poor little guy just was absolutely uncomfortable all night. He finally drifted into a deep sleep around 7am. A few minutes later, Owen woke up. On a normal day (lately) Jeff gets up with Owen so I can sleep a few more hours. Obviously since he wasn’t here I had to get up with him. As completely tired as I was it was still nice in a way. I haven’t had a morning with Owen in a long time and I used to every morning. He was so sweet. I love that little guy. So the day has gone pretty much from one of them napping to the other… never at the same time. It’s 5:20pm and I’m sipping on Coffee to make it through. Thank God Jeff will be home later tonight
On another note. I’m totally sad. Owen is practically grown out of the largest size diaper! That is so crazy to me. Anyway I have a bunch of size 5 Pampers Cruisers that he has no hope of ever wearing… does anyone have a child in 5’s that could use them? I would hate to throw them away!
My parents are leaving for West Palm tomorrow and will be gone about 8 weeks. Sad sad. They have been a help and having them down the street has really spoiled me. BUT we’ll have a great free vacay place for the years to come in West Palm so who am I to complain?
I’m off to pick up toys and change diapers! Have a good night and PLEASE watch Love Monkey. Though I’m not too sure it is as funny to those not in “the industry”. Let me know. To us… it’s a riot. We are in Love.
