I just finished Posting 5 different recalls due to lead on my site… 4 just released, 1 released yesterday.

I could rant forever, but that is what my other site is for, ranting about these issues with China.

Please go to Not China Made (dot) Net and check out the recent recalls to make sure your children don’t have any of the items. Here are links to each post:

I have a question about the items you listed if you happen to know and have time please let me know…and this might seem like a silly question but i am almost 100% sure I got some of my nephews girls the jewelry sets for Christmas….so I am assuming that these toys have always had lead in them and not recent correct? I also assume perhaps wrongly that if the girls are old enough that they do not put things in there mouths it would probably not be a big issue….am I correct or wrong? Hope that you have a great day……..

    Great Question.
first off, they are at LESS risk if they are over 3, however, it’s best not to have these items around the house because they still COULD have negative effects, not to mention if they have any younger children they are around it could be really bad to expose them. In addition, the mouth is not the only harmful place as lead can absorb into the skin as well. I am not a dr. I would encourage their parents to call the pediatrician and see if the Ped. thinks a lead test is necessary. But I would get rid of them either way as excessive levels of lead are something that shouldn’t be around anyone. Better safe than sorry. And please don’t for a second feel bad for giving them jewelry with lead in it- most of us parents have given our children these lead items with no clue… it’s the companies fault.
    Thanks for the question.
