Vaccinate or Go to Jail- Another Effect of “it takes a villiage” Mentality
Filed Under Children, Current Events, Featured, Motherhood | 28 Comments

I saw a story this morning regarding an initative (in one city) to jail parents that do not vaccinate their children. I had trouble finding a domestic article on the topic though I’m sure by end of day there will be many. I found this one from BBC, but it does not cover the topic very well. Read more

Is God Cleaning House?

Again, another snarky title. But I want this to garner serious thought both from my Christian readers and those that wouldn’t consider themselves “Christian”.
If you have watched a lot of news lately you may have realized that the US Senate Finance Committee headed by (R) Chuck Grassley has initiated an investigation into 6 prominent evangelical, specifically pentecostal leaders finances. Pat Robertson Endorses Giuliani- Are the Evangelical Right Selling Their Soul?
Filed Under Christianity, Featured, Politics | 27 Comments

Maybe my headline is a bit extreme. No, I do not think Pat Robertson has sold his soul. I know nothing of his standing before God. What I would challange is has gone so far into politics that he is dropping the Christian part? Are we simply seeing a symptom of what he truly believes is most important.

So Excited & Thankful
Filed Under Family, Group Writing Project, Motherhood | 8 Comments

I’m so grateful for my children. I’m finding with this third pregnancy that I am excited more than ever. Kind of ironic when you consider that I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old to nurture while feeling sick from this pregnancy. However, the fact that I’m so deeply in love with those little guys only adds to the excitement knowing there will be a 3rd little one added to our family that we will love just as much. We are so thrilled that the love in our hearts will be growing even more and that Owen and Lukas will have yet another sibling to have as a friend forever.

We Need Your Help!
Filed Under Featured | 2 Comments
A friend of mine is researching names for a new magazine targeting Christian women, ages 28-44. The aim of the magazine is to tell women that God loves them and show them how to love Him back. The goal is to do this on a practical, every day level — where faith meets life.
Would you mind taking a few moments to give your opinion about some ideas they have by filling out this survey?
Your feedback is invaluable to them! Thank you for participating.
