Internet Free Fridays

Well.

I have made a decision and I don’t really like it. For the time being I am going to be taking Fridays off of the internet. No blogging, No reading blogs, nothing internet related. Gosh- I’m afraid to say it… Not even email.

I just want to keep myself in check. You know “they say” that the internet is addictive. Apparently somehow it goes straight to the pleasure centers of the brain and that is part of the reason we love it so much. I don’t have a ton of research to site here, but that is what “they say” and until I have read the “facts” myself I will leave it at that.

So as I said, to keep myself in check Friday’s will be no internet day. As a commitment I have a new badge toward the bottom of my page that looks like the fun little icon on the top of the page. If anyone would like to join me in this and you want a badge, email me or comment and I will send it your way. Any takers?

Political Quiz & Second String.

Voice of Reason posted a political quiz where you can find out your “political definition”. I thought it look interesting so I took it. My results are posted above. I’m not exactly shocked by them
On this same site you can compare your results with different politicians view-points. It’s a useful link in a crowded political areana!

Voice of Reason also posted info on what he calls the Second String in the political race (those running that don’t have a huge chance.) I found this post interesting because it is sometimes difficult to learn about these candidates view points since main-stream media does not cover them much.

I would love it if you took the quiz if you could come back and report what you got. I think it would be interesting to see what we get. No judgement, just curiuos.

Update on my Step-mom

My step-mother came home yesterday afternoon and is looking much better. They have found that her vertabrae have completely calsified together. Her future surgery will be to go in and clean that up. Please keep her in your prayers if you have been praying. I know it is hard for her to be restrained from doing things as she is an over-achiever
