Okay disclaimer for the post below this. I just read it and my sentences are so choppy, some words are even omitted! I thought of editing it, but realize… it perfectly expresses how i feel right now. So my choppy, poorly written sentences are my artistic interpertaion of me (ha) OKAY ![]()

My bags are loaded.
Filed Under Uncategorized | 7 Comments
I wish I was talking about shopping bags. Unfortunately the loaded sachels are under my eyes though. Jeff took his first business trip since Lukas entered life outside the womb. Sweet Meridith stayed over night with me. Our day started by meeting her for lunch at Baja Fresh. Then we ventured to the Mall so I could purchase a piece of art I have wanted for over my fireplace. As it goes with children, Owen was bored fast, and that trip didn’t go to long. We came home and I made a Dill Salmon Recipe from Real Simple, Which was actually quite simple and very good. Things got crazy while cooking as usual though. Owen decided it was tantrum time, and due to my poor timing Lukas need breastfed at the same time the Salmon needed to be taken out of the oven. So yes, I was feeding him walking around the kitchen, pulling off the skin from our salmon with one hand (boy don’t I feel talented!), finishing asparagus off with kosher salt and basalmic vinaigrette…. and finishing our plates. As we sat down to eat Lukas as usual felt it was an important time to be held… so I didn’t really eat much, and by the time I could didn’t want anymore. Exhausted I put Owie to bed at 7:30. Our friends John and Erin came over and watched 24. It came time for bed and Lukas pretty much woke up for the night. To his credit he was in SO MUCH PAIN! Poor little guy just was absolutely uncomfortable all night. He finally drifted into a deep sleep around 7am. A few minutes later, Owen woke up. On a normal day (lately) Jeff gets up with Owen so I can sleep a few more hours. Obviously since he wasn’t here I had to get up with him. As completely tired as I was it was still nice in a way. I haven’t had a morning with Owen in a long time and I used to every morning. He was so sweet. I love that little guy. So the day has gone pretty much from one of them napping to the other… never at the same time. It’s 5:20pm and I’m sipping on Coffee to make it through. Thank God Jeff will be home later tonight
On another note. I’m totally sad. Owen is practically grown out of the largest size diaper! That is so crazy to me. Anyway I have a bunch of size 5 Pampers Cruisers that he has no hope of ever wearing… does anyone have a child in 5’s that could use them? I would hate to throw them away!
My parents are leaving for West Palm tomorrow and will be gone about 8 weeks. Sad sad. They have been a help and having them down the street has really spoiled me. BUT we’ll have a great free vacay place for the years to come in West Palm so who am I to complain?
I’m off to pick up toys and change diapers! Have a good night and PLEASE watch Love Monkey. Though I’m not too sure it is as funny to those not in “the industry”. Let me know. To us… it’s a riot. We are in Love.

Co-Sleeper Anyone?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
Lukas is about as polar-opposite as you can get from Owen on the sleeping gig. Owen moved to his crib at 2 weeks because he slept better when we weren’t right there… I have been using the bassinet portion of our Pack-n-Play for Lukas and he hates it. He wants to be right next to me. It even seems to stop his hiccups at night. Anyway, I’m not a fan (personally) of Co-sleeping because I get really nervous something will happen to him. Obviously that doesn’t make for the best nights sleep either. Anyway, If I knew Lukas would be like this I would have bought a Co-sleeper before he was born. I could have really used it these few weeks especially recovering for a C-section. Now I’m not even sure how many more weeks I will need it… as soon as I get him in a routine I hope to try the crib. I don’t really want to spend money on a co-sleeper now because of that. SO, my question is… anyone around Columbus have a Co-sleeper you could lend me? I promise to take super-good care of it and return it as soon as I move him. Thanks.

pray for us. bad night last night. lukas had me up all night with 20 mins of sleep here and there. i feel worse than a train wreck and O is all over the place. jeff’s mom is gone and we are sure feeling it. jeff is overwhelmed because he has a lot of work to get done and keeps needing to help us. lukas throws a fit if I put him down, which of course i have to do here and there. but he really goes ballistic. i’m sooooooo tired. i know this is just a temporary thing… but we gotta get through this. i’m just not sure how it is going to happen.

When it has only been 2 weeks since you had a baby, don’t go clothes shopping. HA, what was I thinking?

I’m so SURE!

OH my gosh… If a head of a states republican campaign during an election did this… or I should say was caught doing this, because for all it’s happened in the Republican party as well… Either way if it was a republican campaign manager caught it would be ALL OVER THE NEWS. But I have barely heard a peep about this. Please go read on how the head of the Kerry campaign in Wisconsin slashed the tires of all the Republican party’s rented cars (that were to go help get out the vote for senior citizens the next day.) Check the article out here.
Seriously, if this was a state’s head of Bush’s campaign we would have Ms. Hillary Rodham, Ms. Nancy Pelosy (sp?), Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean… and so on, going ON AND ON about it. Kinda like they have hopped all over this lobbyist issue even though I’M SURE both parties are super SUPER guilty of these “pay-offs”. Haven’t we always kind of assumed politicians for the most part are corrupt and taking money from lobbyist groups? For either party to claim the other is the only guilty of it is just bizarre. If you ask me, by pointing fingers, they are asking for all their little skeletons to come party out of the closet.

Random Game of Catch Up
Filed Under Uncategorized | 14 Comments
So many random things hanging out in my cabin fevered head. I have many hours throughout the day to have meaningless thoughts so many hours awake intermittently. At the time they always seem so meaningful and I think I will blog about it… but later I come to the realization that they are ridiculous. Or just not super profound. Did I mention I have a HORRIBLE case of cabin fever. Next week I’m allowed to drive. I can (dramatic pause) not wait.
Lots of interesting things in Politics today. Some racist comments made around the board. In N.O. the mayor talked of rebuilding and how the city should be all chocolate?(see here) What? What happened to diversity? He is not commenting is that it was taken wrong and he meant like Chocolate milk which is white and chocolate mixed together. Hm. Not sure. Former First Lady Clinton made some comment today that the House of Representatives is run like a plantation. (see here). Former Vice President Al Gore… I just won’t go there right now. I really don’t care for him too much. So some political punches were definitely had. And some holes were dug by the mayor of New Orleans.
Ladies… A fun site to check out if you like beauty products. An old friend of mine from Freshman year at Taylor tracked me down and she runs this site with another friend of hers. It’s called DELUSH. Check it out.
Now onto some things that I have decided I will or will not do during this next “season”
1. I will learn to love my hips.
2. I will be better at not sucking my lips and therefore making them SO chapped all the time.
3. I will develop a domestic schedule.
More to come on this.
4. I will slowly develop more trunk strength so as to not keep throwing my back out, which renders me useless.. when it is strong enough I will be able to get back into body sculpting. There is not a time limit to this… just so I progress.
5. I will not get pregnant.
6. I will accept the fate of using a double stroller.
7. I will get involved in Church/ community.
8. I will incorporate more superfoods into my daily life.
These are not New Years Resolutions… They are simply goals in my life.
On Lukas- He is doing great. Starting to fuss a bit more. Gas. Waking up every 3 hours at night. My breasts absolutely HURT! But tomorrow it has only been 2 weeks and it isn’t near as bad as it was with O and somehow I made that for 8 mos. For now I’m needing some cheerleading to keep it up cause Ouch it just hurts right now. He’s totally growing… I’ll get pics up later this week (I hope).
Owen is doing so much better and is really sweet to his little brother. He calls the birthmark on his head a “boo-boo”. He had an amazing wrestle time with Jeff before bed tonight. Down to the rug burns on his face. That boy goes to bed so so good too. Bless his heart.
Jeff is awesome. Work seems to be going really good for him. We were able to grab culver’s together with O the other day. One of my very few outings.
