How the heck did he grow so fast? I’m just so blown away at how fast it is all going. This picture taken a couple weeks ago even seems so out of date! I’m going to have 2 soon! Is that really possible? Wow.

One thing I have focused on before in my blog when I’m discussing anything I might be going through is the realization that the process is God’s concern in our life. In contrast, as humans, we are often obsessed with the end, the result. God cares how we get there. Being back on an Oswald Chambers “My Utmost for his Highest” kick right now, I just came across a bible study that was one of the first to reveal this truth to me. The first time I read it, my thinking in regards to life was turned inside out. Because I love it so much, and need to be reminded so often I thought I would post it. For reference it is on July 28 in “My Utmost for his Highest”- Oswald Chambers.

We are apt to imagine that Jesus Christ constrains us, and we obey Him, He will lead us to great success. We must never put our dreams of success as God’s purpose for us; that God is leading us to a particular end, a desired goal; He is not. The question of getting to a particular end is a mere incident. What we call the process, God calls the end.

What is my dream of God’s purpose? His purpose is that I depend on Him and on His power now. If I can stay in the middle of the turmoil calm and unperplexed, that is the end of the purpose of God. God is not working toward a particular finish; His end is the process- That I see Him walking on the sea. It is the process, not the end, which is glorifying to God.

God’s training is for now; not presently. His purpose is for this minute; not for something in the future. We have nothing to do with the afterwards of obedience; we get wrong when we think of the afterward. What men call training and preparation, God calls the end.

God’s end is to enable me to see that He can walk on the chaos of my life just now. If we have a further end in view; we do not pay sufficient attention to the immediate present: if we realize that obedience is the end, Then each moment as it comes is precious.

Being that I’m a girl… raising a little boy has been quite the learning experience. Owen lately has become obsessed with his Pee Pee when I change his diaper. Yes, I said the world Pee Pee. Owen also has really started picking up words. His favorites are HI, BYE, THANKS, PLEASE, WOW, DADA, MOE MOE, and so on. His favorite though is said when I change his diaper. One day while changing a VERY poopy diaper I opened it and said “ewe, Pooh pooh”, He laughted and said Po Po. From then on he seems to think his pee pee is a po po. He laughs and grabs it often exlaiming PO PO! So Owen thinks he has a Po Po and finds it quite facinating. I absolutely can not wait to use this when he’s older!

Okay so ANOTHER friend of mine is joining this wonderful world of blogging. Her name is Leta. You can get to her link from the bottom of my mommy blog menu. In her blog you will see great pics of her 2 girls and probably some of her husbands graphic work. So this should appeal to my mommy blog friends and my friends who are into design. Josh (her husband) has his thumbprint all over Relevant Magazine and does a lot of skate and snowboard work. Leta is a sweet mom we all hang out with.

On another note. My friend Kyle Chowning (who also works at Relevant, heading up marketing and sales), has gotten addicted to blogging recently. You can go to his blog by clicking the Chownage link under Friend Blog menu.

Come one Come all! I’m glad everyone is starting to get it! :)

Okay, so It’s thursday…. sorry :) I joined Joy’s self portrait tuesday group. I figured it is a good way to track my pregnancy, though every week WILL NOT be a belly shot I promise :) But I will also make attempts at photographing myself and capturing how I am feeling at that moment. We’ll see if I can actually achieve that!

This picture is actually from last week… I’m now 16.5 weeks and this was taken at 15.5 weeks. Once I get my computer back and can do this more efficiently I will try to have and actual picture from that day :)

My friend will remain nameless. But she is very important to me. What I want to know is do you know any super great guys that you just wish they could meet the right girl??? That are older, mature, love the Lord… have things pretty together. And for some reason the right one has not yet come along. Well that is the deal with my friend. She is amazing. She is creative, talented, Godly, she cooks good, loves music, especially hip hop, she is a free-spirit! But the guys around her just aren’t right for her for one reason or another. Any way, if you would like to suggest anyone… maybe we can work this out?

I know I am over thinking all of this. But I’m having trouble figuring out what kind of double stroller I want. I can’t even believe I need one! I always thought I would have a second baby once O had completely grown out of stroller land. And now here I am very dissatisfied with what I have seen on the market. Hm. You see I don’t really like Graco’s. My first stroller was one and I found it super huge and bulky. They seem to have the most on the market for strollers that the infant carrier can snap into one side though. That is a luxury with a sleeping new born. I love maclaren strollers. But there only doubles are twin and not compatible with a carrier. Zoopers look cool but they are heavy and also don’t work with a carrier… Combi has a new double that does accomidate a COMBI carrier… but My carrier is a graco. Also I don’t know if I want a side by side or front/back stroller. Hmmm. decisions. It’s so hard to know when you haven’t been there. It took me awhile to find what I liked best for Owen. I know many of my mommy blogging friends have multiple children… so I thought I would ask you guys for tips.

My problems could be much worse! I KNOW!

Hey girl,
You asked awhile back about cutting O’s hair and I never answered. The first 2 times I had it cut at a cheap salon. It was so fun/ cute. This last buzz we did with Jeff’s clippers in our bathroom :)
